These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) set out the basis on which MLJ Consulting provides consulting and mentoring services. By booking, purchasing, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. About us
MLJ Consulting is the trading name of Mandy Lee Jandrell, operating as a sole trader in the United Kingdom.

2. Scope of services
MLJ Consulting provides professional consulting and mentoring services, which may include strategic advice, guidance, facilitated sessions, reflective mentoring, resources, and related materials, delivered online or by other agreed means.
The specific scope, format, duration, and fees for services will be agreed with you in advance and confirmed in writing.
3. Nature of consulting and mentoring
All services are provided on a best‑endeavours basis, drawing on professional experience, frameworks, and judgement.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- Consulting and mentoring are collaborative and developmental processes
- Outcomes depend on your engagement, decisions, and actions
- No specific results or outcomes are guaranteed
The services do not constitute legal, financial, medical, therapeutic, or other regulated professional advice, and should not be relied upon as such. MLJ Consulting does not take responsibility for your actions.
4. Client responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information relevant to the engagement
- Engage respectfully and professionally
- Attend sessions promptly and prepared
- Take sole responsibility for your decisions and implementation
You remain fully responsible for how you apply any insights, guidance, or information shared during the engagement.
5. Fees and payment
- Fees will be agreed in advance and confirmed in writing
- Payment terms (including upfront fees or instalments) will be specified at the time of booking
- All fees are payable in pounds sterling (GBP) unless otherwise stated
- Late or failed payments may result in suspension of services
Unless stated otherwise, fees are exclusive of VAT (if applicable).
6. Cancellations, rescheduling, and missed sessions
Client cancellations
- Sessions cancelled or rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice will not be charged
- Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, may be charged in full
Provider cancellations
If MLJ Consulting needs to cancel or reschedule a session, reasonable notice will be provided where possible, and an alternative session date or refund will be offered.
7. Recording of sessions
Sessions must not be recorded by either party unless there is prior mutual agreement in writing.
Where recording is agreed:
- the purpose of the recording must be clearly stated
- the recording may only be used for the agreed purpose
- recordings must not be shared with third parties without explicit written consent
8. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to treat as confidential any non‑public, sensitive, or proprietary information disclosed during the course of the engagement, whether shared verbally, in writing, or through other means (“Confidential Information”).
Your confidentiality obligations
You agree not to disclose Confidential Information relating to MLJ Consulting, including methodologies, materials, business practices, personal information or client examples, unless disclosure is expressly permitted in writing.
Our confidentiality obligations
MLJ Consulting will not disclose your Confidential Information, including personal, professional, or organisational information shared during sessions, except in the circumstances set out below.
Permitted disclosures
Confidentiality obligations do not apply where disclosure is required:
- by law, regulation, court order, or professional obligation
- to comply with safeguarding duties or legal requirements
- where there is a reasonable belief that disclosure is necessary to prevent serious harm to you or to others
Where possible and appropriate, we will seek to inform you before making such a disclosure.
9. Intellectual property
All materials provided by MLJ Consulting (including documents, frameworks, worksheets, templates, and recordings, where applicable) remain the intellectual property of MLJ Consulting, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
You are granted a non‑exclusive, non‑transferable licence to use materials for your own personal or internal business use only.
You may not copy, reproduce, share, publish, sell, or use materials to create competing products or services without prior written consent.
10. Term and termination
Either party may terminate the engagement at any time by providing written notice.
On termination:
- Fees paid are non‑refundable for services already delivered
- Any outstanding fees become immediately payable
- Clauses intended to survive termination (including confidentiality, intellectual property, and liability) will continue to apply
11. Liability and disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- MLJ Consulting’s total liability in connection with the services shall be limited to the total fees paid for the relevant services
- MLJ Consulting shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, revenue, or opportunity
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
12. Data protection
Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and is available on our website.
13. Force majeure
MLJ Consulting shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance due to events beyond reasonable control, including illness, technical failures, or circumstances outside our control.
14. Complaints
If you have any concerns or complaints about the services provided, please contact hello@mljconsulting.co.uk. Reasonable efforts will be made to resolve issues promptly and professionally.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
16. Changes to these Terms
MLJ Consulting reserves the right to update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will be available on the website and will apply to new engagements from the effective date.
